Part of the Roots Collection, the Gretsch G9240 is a superb resonator that delivers that classic vintage voice. This guitar offers plenty of projection, personality, and that classic resonator bite.
Built with a laminated mahogany body, it produces a punchy, focused midrange with a crisp top end. The resonator cone gives it that signature metallic edge and projection, while the mahogany keeps things warm and full underneath. It’s an incredibly resonant and expressive instrument, ideal for blues, slide, and grassroots styles.
The satin finish keeps things understated, giving the guitar a natural aesthetic that suits it perfectly. The body shape feels super comfortable and well-balanced, whether you’re playing seated or standing up.
The neck features a tapered profile with a medium V carve, offering a nice handful without feeling too chunky. The padauk fretboard feels smooth and easy to move around. It’s a comfortable neck that works beautifully for chord work, fingerpicking, or slide.
This guitar is in excellent condition, with no notable signs of wear; a really clean example ready to be played.
When buying a pre-owned instrument online it can feel risky - however, here at Peach Guitars, every instrument is meticulously inspected and professionally set up by our guitar technicians before it leaves us. We take real pride in what we do, so you can be confident you’re getting a guitar that’s ready to go the moment it arrives. We also provide fully tracked shipping, and our after-sales customer service team is always on hand to offer any advice or to answer your questions.
