Equipped with a pair of TV Jones pickups - the Super'Tron Classic Plus bridge pickup and the Super'Tron neck pickup - every note you play resonates with defined and eloquent tones. The modified control layout provides ultimate versatility, with individual volume controls for the bridge pickup, and master volume and tone controls. This allows you to create a vast array of tonal variations, while the new Gretsch Squeezebox capacitors add a silky vintage high-end touch.
Crafted with attention to detail, the standard "U"-shaped maple neck with an ebony fingerboard is a picker's dream, boasting a 12" radius and 22 vintage-style small frets. The pinned rocking bar bridge, in combination with the Bigsby B6GWVT vibrato tailpiece, ensures stable tuning, while the vintage-style genuine bone nut allows the strings to slide freely without any binding.
All the classic features that made the '59 Gent an icon are present: a laminated 5-ply figured maple top with painted F-holes, a "wire" vibrato arm, gold G-arrow control knobs, aged white binding with black purfling, a gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish, aged pearloid thumbnail inlays, a gold vintage thick plexi pickguard with the Gretsch logo, and gold Grover Imperial tuning machines with 'butterbean' buttons.
