Introducing the Gretsch G6120 Eddie Cochran Signature Hollow Body guitar, a testament to the legendary Eddie Cochran's groundbreaking contributions to rock 'n' roll and rockabilly. This extraordinary instrument is a faithful recreation of Cochran's iconic modified guitar that propelled his influential but tragically short-lived career. With its unique features, including the special "open" internal body design and the distinctive combination of a DynaSonic single-coil bridge pickup and a Lindy Fralin "Dogear" single-coil neck pickup, the G6120 Eddie Cochran model captures the essence of Cochran's signature tone and style.
Crafted with precision and attention to detail, this guitar boasts a three-ply arched maple top with parallel bracing and double-bound F-holes, along with a three-ply arched maple back and sides. The elegant two-ply body binding in white and black adds a touch of sophistication to its overall appearance. The two-piece maple neck features single-ply binding and leads to a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard, adorned with western-themed cactus, steer head, and fence pearloid inlays that pay homage to Cochran's roots. The headstock bears a single-ply binding and proudly displays the Gretsch logo.
In terms of hardware, the G6120 Eddie Cochran Signature model is equipped with a translucent plexi pickguard, Gretsch G-arrow control knobs, a compensated aluminium bridge with a rosewood base, and a Bigsby B6GBVF tailpiece. The gold and polished aluminium hardware further enhances its visual appeal. The gold-plated Grover V98G Sta-Tite tuners ensure precise tuning stability, while a deluxe hardshell case provides optimal protection for this exceptional instrument.
