Gibson Victory Baritone | British Racing Green

During the 1980s, Gibson spent a lot of time expanding their already stacked catalogue with a range of new and exciting models, each one designed to meet the demands of players at the time. One of the most well-loved additions was the incredibly eye-catching Gibson Victory. This lesser-known model has long been a cult favourite amongst guitarists who appreciate its distinctive double-cutaway design and excellent upper-fret access. Following the successful return of the Gibson Victory in 2024, Gibson have now expanded the range with new baritone models, which are perfect for any player looking to pick up a high end, USA built baritone.

The Gibson victory baritone features a lightweight mahogany body, which is extremely resonant. Overall, the guitar is punchy and really cuts through in a mix despite its low tuning, which can often be a struggle for some baritone electrics. It’s extremely well balanced and feels great to play both sitting down and standing up. With refined body contours, the victory baritone looks super sleek and modern.

Thanks to the rounded c mahogany neck, you’ll instantly feel right at home playing this guitar. This neck profile allows for quick and easy movement right across the fingerboard, giving you excellent access to every fret. One of the most important features of this guitar is the 28" baritone scale length, which makes playing in lower tunings much easier when compared to the 25.5" scale length found on the traditional victory model. Playing a baritone guitar is a really fun and inspiring experience. Having access to the lower register brings out a totally different side to your playing, which makes a baritone a really useful tool for all guitarists. The dark ebony fingerboard features 24 medium jumbo frets, a compound 10"-16" radius, acrylic dot inlays, and a 1.695" nut width.

The electronics are one of the coolest parts of this guitar. It’s loaded with a pair of Elev8 humbuckers, which feature Alnico 8 magnets and custom gauge wiring which give you a high output sound with great clarity, articulation, and dynamic response. You’ve also got push/pull master volume and tone controls which give you coil split and inner/outer coil options. There are so many awesome tonal options on this guitar, so you’ll always find a tone that’s inspiring to play through.

The guitar is finished off with a high quality nashville tune-o-matic bridge, alongside a set of Grover mini rotomatic tuners. A Gibson hardcase is included.
