Gibson Hummingbird Original Electro w/HiFi DNA - Heritage Cherry Sunburst

The Gibson Hummingbird is probably one of the most legendary acoustic guitars ever produced, with its rich tone and versatile nature it's a real players favourite.

The larger square-shouldered Dreadnought body is beautifully crafted from super resonant Mahogany and boasts a Sitka Spruce top. The Heritage Cherry Sunburst finish offers a unique look and perfectly complements what is possibly the most iconic pickguard around. 

A rich Mahogany neck features a Rosewood fingerboard, with a 12" radius and mother of pearl parallelograms, its vibrant and resonant. It is supremely comfortable and provides and excellent playing surface. Whether you are strumming or delicately picking, the Hummingbird offers deep, rich and crystal-clear tone.

One of the most important features of this guitar is the LR Baggs HiFi DNA pickup, which LR Baggs designed in close collaboration with the Gibson Montana team. This pickup is exclusive to Gibson guitars and is designed to deliver an amplified version of the guitar's natural voice without drastically altering or affecting the guitar's tone. This active system uses two lightweight sensors mounted on the internal bridge plate. The sensors are matched with optimised individual preamps to deliver a full-bodied amplified acoustic tone that lets the guitar's character and personality come through. The system also includes volume and tone controls, which are mounted in the soundhole, so you can quickly adjust your tone if needed.
