To mark one of the most important reunions in British music, Gibson has introduced the Noel Gallagher Les Paul Standard. Developed in close collaboration with Noel Gallagher for the Oasis Live 25 tour, this guitar was designed to deliver a wide variety of tones, and to cover a lot of ground sonically within the Oasis back catalogue of hits. This guitar very quickly became the most talked about guitar of the summer, and were thrilled to say its now finally available to purchase.
The Gibson Noel Gallagher Les Paul features a solid Mahogany body with a bound Maple top. This tonewood partnership helps to deliver Noels trademark power and clarity. The body has no weight relief, so remains true to classic Gibson specifications. It features a simple, minimalistic aesthetic, it features an Ebony nitrocellulose finish which is super thin, allowing the wood to resonate much more effectively when compared to other finish types at this price point. Its extremely well weighted, and well balanced.
The Mahogany neck features Noels preferred SlimTaper neck profile, which is really comfortable and easy to play. This profile is a happy medium, giving you more than enough to work with comfortably. It also features a bound Rosewood fingerboard with 22 medium frets, a 43.053mm nut width, 24.75 scale length, and acrylic trapezoid inlays.
The electronics have been tailored to capture the character of Noel Gallaghers unmistakable sound. It comes fitted with chrome-covered Gibson P-90 Soapbar pickups, each hand-wired to its own volume and tone control with a three-way selector switch. Through a loud valve amp, these pickups deliver the raw, open tone and bite that defined Gallaghers mid-90s recordings. Finishing details such as black Top Hat knobs with silver reflectors and dial pointers complete the look with a subtle vintage touch.
With Grover Rotomatic tuners, and a traditional tune-o-matic bridge, this guitar delivers great stability, whilst staying true to what makes the Les Paul so great.
