This SG Custom takes the core design and visual cues of the Les Paul Custom and adapts them to the SG format, resulting in a lightweight, high-performance instrument with strong tonal character and standout aesthetics. The solid Mahogany body provides warmth and sustain, while the high-gloss Ebony finish and gold hardware give it a refined, premium look. It's a guitar designed to meet professional standards on stage or in the studio.

The neck features Gibson's comfortable 60s SlimTaper Mahogany profile with a 24.75" scale length, ideal for fast, expressive playing. The Ebony fingerboard adds clarity and a smooth playing surface, while the Mother of Pearl block inlays enhance both appearance and visibility. This model marks the welcome return of Ebony fingerboards to the SG Custom, offering a luxurious feel and improved note definition. The neck is topped off with 22 medium jumbo frets and Grover Kidney tuners, delivering reliable tuning stability and consistent playability.

For electronics, the SG Custom comes equipped with a 490R humbucker in the neck position and a 498T in the bridge.
