Gibson Custom CS-336 | Vintage Sunburst - Used
'57 Classic Humbuckers - 1-Piece Tonally Carved Mahogany Body w/2-Piece Figured Maple Carved Top
Introduced in 2001, the Gibson CS-336 represents the culmination of Gibson's quest to merge the classic hollowbody resonance with solidbody performance. Retaining the elegance of the ES-335, it features a scaled-down body for solidbody comfort, a slim neck profile reminiscent of '60s Gibson guitars, and resonant construction with a one-piece mahogany back and sides and a two-piece maple top. The 13-inch width, 16-inch length, and 1 11/16th-inch depth enhance playability. Equipped with two Gibson '57 Classic humbucking pickups, classic controls, and an ABR-1 bridge, it achieves a balance of vintage aesthetics and modern functionality. The one-piece mahogany neck, 22-fret rosewood fingerboard, and vintage-style tulip tuners complete this sonically and ergonomically refined instrument.
Please Note: This guitar is Pre-Owned but is in Excellent condition. Unfortunately, it has sustained a small ding on the front of the body next to the stopbar - as seen in the product images. With actual guitar weight, photographs, and with a personalised set up from our brilliant in-house tech team, we make sure our customers always have the ultimate buying experience - both via in-store appointments and online orders!

Introducing the Gibson Custom CS-336, a masterpiece born from Gibson's legacy in crafting exceptional guitars since 1958. The CS-336 is the culmination of decades of expertise, combining the classic aesthetics and resonance of a hollowbody with the performance of a solidbody. As part of the prestigious Gibson Custom Shop, this guitar stands as a true testament to craftsmanship and playability.
Retaining the iconic look of the ES-335, the CS-336 features an elegantly tapered figured-top for that timeless appearance. However, the Custom Shop's engineers have taken it a step further by enhancing playability. The body is scaled down for solidbody comfort, and the neck boasts a slim, "fast" profile reminiscent of vintage '60s Gibson guitars.
Crafted for exceptional resonance, the CS-336 boasts a single-piece mahogany back and sides shaped like a classic Gibson archtop, complete with a solid centre beam running from the neck tenon to the tail block. The two-piece maple top is meticulously carved inside and out, mirroring the shape and thickness of ES-series archtops. This attention to detail extends to the 13-inch wide, 16-inch long, and 1 11/16th-inch deep body.
Equipped with Gibson '57 Classic humbucking pickups, historic controls, and an ABR-1 bridge, the CS-336 ensures a sonic experience that lives up to its visual elegance. The hardware, featuring nickel components and single-ply binding on the top and back, adds classic touches to a guitar that is undeniably modern in its sonic and ergonomic excellence.
For optimal sustain and playability, the CS-336 features a one-piece mahogany neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard. The vintage 1960 taper neck profile and 24-inch scale length contribute to its comfortable feel, while the vintage-style tulip tuners complete the headstock's classic aesthetic. Elevate your playing experience with the Gibson Custom CS-336 - a true work of art that stands at the pinnacle of guitar craftsmanship.
