The Fender Johnny Marr Signature Special Jaguar is a premium electric guitar designed in collaboration with the legendary guitarist Johnny Marr. Building on Marr's decades of experience and deep understanding of the Jaguar's tonal potential, this limited-edition model refines the classic design for today's players. The guitar features an alder body finished in a high-quality gloss nitrocellulose black lacquer. This finish not only enhances the visual appeal but also allows the wood to breathe, contributing to a more resonant and natural tone that improves with age. The custom maple neck profile replicates the feel of Marr's own 1965 Jaguar, providing exceptional playability with a familiar, worn-in feel straight out of the case. The 24" scale length and 9.5" radius rosewood fretboard offer a balanced blend of modern comfort and vintage character, supporting both expressive bends and smooth chord transitions across the 22 vintage-style frets.

Under the hood, the Marr Jaguar delivers a wide tonal range thanks to custom-wound Kent Armstrong Johnny Marr single-coil lipstick pickups. Designed to Marr's exact specifications, these pickups produce rich, articulate tones that can move seamlessly from bright, chime-like cleans to warm, full-bodied leads. Combined with a custom Jaguar wiring configuration, players have access to an expanded range of sounds. The setup includes a four-position blade switch and three slide switches that provide bright switches and access to the middle pickup.

Hardware has been carefully selected for stability and reliability. The Jaguar bridge with Mustang saddles ensures accurate intonation and excellent tuning stability, aided by nylon post inserts that reduce unwanted movement. The vintage-style floating tremolo system incorporates a taller tremolo arm and a nylon sleeve insert, delivering smooth and consistent operation while maintaining the traditional Jaguar character.
