The Fender Custom Shop do some pretty special things, and with the Custom Shop Limited Edition Double Esquire they really push the boundaries of Leo Fenders vision.
This guitar has some serious mojo! With a traditional sort for lightweight Ash body, finished naturally it looks super slick, the Esquire has a unique relic'd nitro finish, this gives the look and feel of a vintage guitar but with all the tone and playability of a modern one. This finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further. It also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively compared with other finishes.
The neck is crafted from Quartersawn Maple and features a chunky soft “V” profile, it's real comfortable and with a 7.25"-9.5" compound radius and 21 medium vintage frets it's smooth and at home playing slick runs and crisp chords right up the neck.
