The Fender Custom Shop do some pretty special things, and with the Custom Shop 69 Telecaster they really push the boundaries of Leo Fenders vision.
This guitar has some serious mojo! With a Roasted Alder body, finished in a sweet Aged Black, this Custom Shop Tele boasts a Relic finish. Authentically aged, this finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further. It also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively compared with other more modern finishes.
The Roasted 3A Birdseye Maple neck features a 7.25"-9.5" compound radius for a superb modern playing action without any choking. The 1969 "U" shape profile measures .850" at the 1st fret and .920" at the 12th fret. It also boasts 21 frets Medium Vintage frets which offer a really organic playing experience.
With the Telecaster design being considered by many to be the original workhorse guitar the Custom Shop 69 Tele needs a pickup pairing that can deliver the classic Fender tone. With a pair of Hand Wound 67 Tele pickups, it boasts a versatile and well balanced selection. These pickups are clinical and offer supreme tonal variety. Just when you think this Tele couldn't be any cooler it is loaded with a Bigsby B5 bridge and tailpiece, perfect for all you vibrato needs.
Complete with Custom Shop case, this is another absolute stunner from the guys at the Fender Custom Shop!
