The Fender Stratocaster is probably the most iconic guitar ever produced and the Fender Custom Shop '62 Stratocaster is a fitting addition to this legendary line.
The lightweight Roasted Alder body is finished in a lush Desert Sunset nitro lacquer, period correct, this finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further. It also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively compared with other finishes.
The Quarter Sawn Roasted Maple neck has a smooth finish and an AAA grade Rosewood fingerboard. With a 9.5" radius and 21 narrow tall frets, the '62 Custom Shop Stratocaster can handle anything you throw at it without even breaking a sweat; it's supremely comfortable and well balanced. The Large C C profile is a joy to play and offers a great platform for both rhythm and lead playing.
With a trio of hand wound Strat single coils, a 60s in the neck, a 65 in the middle and a 69 Strat at the bridge, it delivers all the sweeping, versatile tones you would expect from a Strat. Loaded with the famed Greasebucket tone control and a Tone-Saver treble bleed, its tone city right here!
Supplied with a Fender Custom Shop hard case, this is a real sweet example of Custom Shop quality.
