Whilst it can no longer be described as a "closet classic" due to its beautiful lacquer checking and genuine relic'ing, it sure is a stunner. The Fender Stratocaster is probably the most iconic guitar ever produced and the Fender Custom Shop '59 Stratocaster relic is a fitting addition to this legendary line.
A lightweight Alder body is finished in a 3-Tone Sunburst finish. Authentically aged, this finish has worn beautifully with time and develop its own character even further. It also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively compared with other more modern finishes.
The flat sawn Maple neck has a smooth finish and a AAA-grade sort for dark Rosewood fingerboard. The '59 Custom Shop Stratocaster also features a 10/56 "V" neck shape, a 9.5" radius, 21 6150 frets and a 1.650" Nut Width. It's supremely comfortable and well balanced. With the inclusion of Closet Classic hardware you can expect great stability and intonation.
With a trio of Fender '60 Strat pickups it delivers all the sweeping, versatile tones you would expect from a Strat. Rich and smooth, it's a premium Stratocaster tone.
