Eddie Van Halen was one of the most influential guitar players of all time, the original King of shred; his tapping technique has spawned a thousand impersonators. Known for tinkering and modding his own guitars, EVH deliver unique instruments built to Eddie’s exact specifications. The Wolfgang design really is a fan favourite, named after Eddie’s son, it’s a straight Rock n Roll machine!

This limited edition Wolfgang is seriously cool. It packs in some really exciting modern features that make it effortless to play, while also paying tribute to Eddie’s legendary striped finish. The body is crafted from solid basswood, a tonewood that's known for being lightweight, super resonant, and really punchy! The body also features a contoured arched top, which looks great and feels really comfortable to play. Eddie’s striped finish is one of the most iconic and instantly recognisable designs in music, and this distressed aged version really captures the look and vibe of Eddie’s original “Frankie” guitar

The neck is built from quartersawn maple and is reinforced with graphite rods, this helps to increase stability and minimise the effects of humidity and temperate changes. Having these graphite reinforcement rods really is helpful, it makes playing on the road, in the studio, or at home super consistent no matter the time of year or location. It features a hand rubbed satin finish alongside a comfortable “Wolfgang” spec neck shape, which together allow for quick and easy movements across the whole guitar. Thanks to the double cut body design, you have great access to the upper frets, so you can play Eddie’s solos with ease. The ebony fingerboard is dark in colour and features a 25.5” scale length, 22 jumbo frets, a 12”-16” compound radius, white pearloid dot inlays, and a 41.3mm nut width.

It's loaded with a set of EVH designed Wolfgang pickups, which are designed to deliver powerful tones without breaking a sweat. They are also mounted directly to the basswood body, which really does help to increase sustain and low end. If you’re wanting to get Eddie’s signature tone, these pickups will certainly help you get there. Thanks to the 3-position pickup switch, master volume, and master tone control, you can really sculpt this guitar to taste. The volume control is a low friction 500k pot, and the tone control is a 250k high friction pot.

The EVH branded Floyd Rose bridge is high quality and gives you great stability. With this bridge, you’ll be able to dive bomb and do all the whammy bar tricks that made people fall in love with Eddie’s playing. It also features an EVH D-tuna, which gives you access to drop tunings just by moving one small component.
