An undisputed player's favourite, the Gibson Firebird has been a constant in the Gibson roster since the early '60s. Favoured by some of the world's greatest players, including most famously Johnny Winter, Warren Haynes and Lynyrd Skynyrd's Allen Collins, the Epiphone Inspired by Gibson Custom 1963 Firebird I pays tribute to the rich history of this iconic guitar.
The Mahogany/Walnut neck through body is finished in a lush cherry with a White pickguard for a fresh, vibrant appeal. This guitar really does have that vintage look and vibe to it, the cherry red stain allows the natural wood grain to shine through, giving it the same look and vintage vibe as its Gibson counterpart.
The Mahogany neck is extremely comfortable and easy to navigate. It features a 1963 firebird profile, so it feels exactly like a vintage Gibson Firebird crafted at that time. The Rosewood fingerboard is dark in colour and has 22 medium jumbo frets, a 24.75" scale length, 12” radius, and dot inlays.
Loaded with a singular Firebird alnico V bridge pickup, it delivers tone by the bucket load. With a really unique sonic character it is versatile, dynamic and offers crystal clear note definition. It's finished off with a wraparound Lightning bar bridge and a set of Kluson Banjo-Style tuners.
Hardcase included.
