EMG 81 & 60 Pickups - Premium Gigbag

This Explorer might just be the coolest addition to the Epiphone Inspired by Gibson lineup we’ve seen in recent years! Although the Explorer originally launched back in 1958, it wasn’t until much later in the 70s & 80s that players really grew to love the design. This new Epiphone is heavily inspired by the 1984 Gibson Explorer, which was wielded by legendary artists like James Hetfield and The Edge.
This model feature the iconic Explorer body design crafted from Mahogany, which is known for its incredible sustain and resonance. The Explorer shape is easily one of the coolest offset body designs out there, and Epiphone have done a great job replicating the over feel. The Mahogany neck has a 60s SlimTaper neck shape, which is really easy to navigate. This neck will feel super comfortable whether you’re playing heavy riffs of slick leads. The Rosewood fingerboard has a 43mm nut width, 24.75” scale length, 22 frets, and pearloid dot inlays.
By far the coolest feature of this guitar is the EMG pickups which come stock with this model. In the bridge position you’ll find an EMG 81, and in the neck you’ve got an EMG 60. This pickup pairing is legendary and has been the go to choice of some of the biggest names in Rock n Roll! They accurately capture the unique, fat-toned sound and rich sustain of the Explorer models that many players preferred during that era. The pickups are wired to individual volume controls and a master tone control; the controls are capped with knurled metal control knobs. On this model you also have a set of Mini Die Cast tuners, and a LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge and stop bar tailpiece.
Premium gigbag included.
