Our friends at Epiphone have partnered up with the fine folks over at the Gibson Custom Shop to release the Epiphone Kirk Hammett 1979 Flying V, a meticulous recreation of Kirks prized original!
This Epiphone Flying V begins with a solid Mahogany body finished in a stunning Purple Metallic lacquer. The iconic 70s spec pickguard sits proudly on the body and creates an awesome contrast with the body colour. It is brilliantly weighted and extremely well balanced, you havent got to worry about neck dive with this V!
With a 24.75 Mahogany neck this Flying V feels comfortable and familiar, it boasts an Indian Laurel fingerboard with a vintage spec radius, 22 frets and traditional dot inlays. Its super quick and easy to navigate, perfect for nailing those solos!
Classic Kirk Hammett tones come courtesy of a pair of Gibson USA T-Type Humbuckers. This set is voiced to capture the dynamics of Kirks touch sensitive playing. Thanks to a pair of volumes controls alongside a master tone control you can really sculpt your sound to taste.
Finished off with a custom replica bridge and stopbar tailpiece alongside Grover Rotomatic tuners you can expect killer stability. Its a real powerhouse, this Epiphone Flying V comes complete with a Flying V hardcase for great protection at home and on the road.
