D'Addario ECG23PL Chromes are the brand's warmest and mellowest electric guitar strings, delivering the classic flatwound feel and tone favoured by jazz players and blues stylists such as Gary Clark Jr. Their stainless steel flattened ribbon wrap is wound over interlocking underwindings and then precisely polished, creating an exceptionally smooth surface with virtually no finger noise and a warm, rounded voice that blends beautifully into any mix.
Built on D'Addario's high carbon steel HexCore, Chromes offer excellent intonation, consistent tension and longterm durability. The 1048 Extra Light Plain Third set is the lightest gauge in the Chromes range and features a plain steel G string for added flexibility and easier bending compared to a traditional wound third.
Every set is made in the USA to exacting specifications at D'Addario's New York facility, and the recyclable VCI bag includes a code that can be registered for Players Circle points.
