The basswood body is subject to a special treatment that delivers the Caramelised quality. This heat and drying technique makes the wood feel and sound much older than it is, well into the phase where the wood opens up nicely. With a Flame Maple top, it's a tone wood dream team, supremely resonant and dynamic this guitar is really well balanced. Finished with a satin lacquer, it delivers mega tone.
The Caramelized 2-Piece Flame Maple neck and fingerboard features 24 jumbo stainless steel frets, a 12"-16" compound radius and graphite reinforcement. It's smooth, fast and a great platform for both heavy chordal work and slick, rapid lead lines.
With a duo of humbuckers flanking a singlecoil you get multiple tonal options. These Charvel Custom pickups work in tandem with the toggle switch for mega versatility, perfect for a player like Guthrie Govan. With a recessed Charvel locking tremolo bridge - featuring a Tremol-No unit and oversized brass block - and Sperzel locking tuners, you get great tuning stability and intonation.
Complete with hardshell case, this is definitely a guitar worthy of such an enigmatic player!
