Originally introduced back in ’74 the RE-201 Space Echo was a benchmark Roland product and one of the leading tape echo units of its era. Equipped with three evenly spaced tape heads and a spring reverb tank, it could produce everything from clean, single delays to dense, rhythmic echoes and ambient washes. The new BOSS RE-2 is based on a pristine original unit from Roland’s factory archive, allowing you to experience the magic and feel of these incredible units.
The RE-2 features an 11-position mode selector which provides access to three virtual tape heads with or without spring reverb, users can also balance the echo/reverb blend with independent level knobs. The RE-2 also comes loaded with wow & flutter controls, extened delay time, selectable carryover and even a tap tempo.
