Thought lost to time, the team here at Peach Guitars recently discovered this unique find in the warehouse. Signed by the legendary amp designer himself, Reinhold Bogner brings the brutally heavy Uberschall amp to pedal form.
Hand built in Los Angeles, California, Bogner have taken their hard-hitting Uberschall amplifier, dubbed "Armageddon in a Box", and put that ferocity into an even smaller box. Whilst the pedal has the capability of a significant range of gain tones, its true nature comes to light with its savage, face-melting, high-gain distortion.
To mirror the circuitry of the Uberschall, Reinhold included five discrete Class A gain stages and with no diode clipping. This revolutionary approach provides clarity, touch sensitivity and note separation never before achieved in distortion pedals.
Despite only taking 9V DC from its power supply or battery, the cutting-edge circuitry from Reinhold elevates the voltage substantially higher, allowing for the greater dynamic range of the legendary Uberschall amplifier.
With premium construction featuring double sided gold plated circuit boards, German WIMA capacitors, Japanese Nichicon capacitors and gold plated relays, Carling switches, and more, this bespoke pedal is worthy of its designer's signature.
