With leaps in amp modelling technology and it's much more accessible price point, there became a gap in the market for FRFR (Full Range Flat Response) speakers that left users reliant on the venue's monitors or having to go into a guitar amp that wouldn't reflect the true sound of the modeller. Now, Blackstar have filled this need with the Artist FR series.
The appeal of FRFR speakers are that they reproduce whatever you put through it across the full frequency range without colouring or tainting how it sounds. To do this, Blackstar have custom designed their own flat-response speaker and include a whizzer cone for the highest frequencies. Despite the best efforts of the speaker, the room and environment you are in can still alter the sound so Blackstar have included active 3-band EQ and a presence control to fine tune your tone further.
This 1x12" powered FRFR speaker cabinet is perfect for monitoring your instrument whether it's at home, rehearsals, or on-stage, and the kickstand is the perfect little addition for angling it to project straight to your ears for audio accuracy.
The Artist FR Standard has a 50W output and a slightly smaller cabinet size, making it perfect for home use or for easy transportation.
