Since their inception back in ’99, Bad Cat amplification have been producing killer tones which has made them a staple in studios all around the world. By continuously seeking innovation, Bad Cat are committed to delivering purpose-built products which allows today’s player to express themselves in their own, personal way.
The Cub was amongst one of the first amplifiers adorned with the legendary Bad Cat name. It’s famed for it’s extremely simple yet versatile circuitry, offering incredible punch and chime whilst setting the standard for touch responsiveness. Over the years the amp’s design has been refined and improved with every iteration bringing something new to the cab. This latest design is a return to the first Cub Mark Sampson originally designed as a tonal tribute but in a smaller, lighter format. This amp retains Mark's original DNA but introduces a 15w EL84 power section and re-voiced EQ to suit the compact design.
A touch sensitive single-channel amp that packs a huge punch, it includes a dual footswitch to switch between Clean and Overdrive modes, with 2 volumes for ultimate control over your sound. Inspired the legendary sound of 15w British amps of the 1960's, the Cub is the perfect combination of vintage homage and modern utility, it offers incredible dynamics and a sophisticated, articulate tone - straightforward to use and reliable due to its boutique, handmade construction.
Included is a studio quality Reverb as well as buffered FX loop making it an excellent choice for pedal enthusiasts as well.
Loaded with a 12" UK-made Celestion Greenback all housed in a Baltic Birch cabinet for ultimate structural stability.
