AER Compact 80 Pro | 80-Watt Acoustic Combo Amplifier
4 Channel - 4 Input - 2 FX Processors | The Flagship Compact Amp - More Power & I/O, Same Portability
Multi-instrumentalists and group ensembles rejoice with AER's flagship Compact amp - the Compact 80 Pro. Featuring 4 channels, 2 dedicated FX processors, and an expanded I/O, you'll struggle to find more versatility in such a portable enclosure - only 10kg! Read on below to discover the full scope of possibilities available with the Compact 80 Pro.
AER really pack the heat with this one. Bringing 80 watts of power and utilising an 8" 2-way dual cone speaker, it can easily handle a huge range of instruments in many performance settings. Thanks to its weight of only 10kg, the sturdy handle, and padded gigbag, you can still remain almost as portable as a fully acoustic set-up.
Channels 1 and 3 are the most versatile channels, featuring easily switchable phantom power on the inputs - both 9v for TRS jack plugs and 48V for XLR - you can quickly swap to condenser mics or kick in external power supply for on-board preamps. Set your input gain to perfection with the handy signal clipping indicator and tweak your tone to your hearts content with the 3band EQ and "colour" switch. Meanwhile, channels 2 and 4 deliver the essentials. With 48V phantom power (disabled via internal jumper cable - qualified professionals only) on the XLR input, clipping indicator, input gain, colour switch, and 2-band EQ, these channels are in no way lacking. If you use backing tracks then you don't need to worry about using up one of the channels thanks to the dedicated stereo aux input and level control on the back of the amp. It also comes with a coupling input with dedicated input level to monitor a secondary amp.
Each of the 2 independent FX processors pack 4 effects at users disposal: long reverb, short reverb, delay, and chorus. Tweak the effects level and pan them between their corresponding channels (channels 1 and 2 for the FX processor 1 and channels 3 and 4 for FX processor 2). The included FX loop also allows you to add your own effects and both can be toggled on and off via a footswitch input on the back of the amp. The master volume is often an overlooked feature on multi-channel amps but the ability to keep each channel mixed perfectly with each other whilst changing the overall volume is a huge time saver.
Containing a plethora of outputs on the back, you can feel prepared for any situation: stereo line out, DI-out and additional switchable pre/post-FX DI out, headphones, and a dedicated, always-on, pre-FX output for a tuner pedal.
If you don't need the extra power or channels, then the Compact 60/4 and 60/4 Slope make a great option to keep your rig as small as it can be!
