The FG/FS7 series from Yamaha brings the core ideals and design concepts of the FG/FS9 models but makes them more accessible.

Expertly crafted in Japan, the FG7 R features a solid Sitka Spruce top with scalloped X-bracing and solid Indian Rosewood back and sides - delivering incredible projection and clear articulation. This design is the perfect combination of traditional Japanese influence and modern acoustic guitar performance.

Made with singer-songwriters in mind, the FG7 R, the dreadnought-style body, produces bold and powerful low end, ideal for strummers. It will feel at home for players used to a vintage flatpicking style acoustic but thanks to its modern build it also works great for delicate note picking and more subtle playing as well.

Utilising elegant Japanese aesthetics and unique touches such as the inner label being made from traditional washi paper and the soundhole rosette features rope-shaped inlays paying homage to classic Japanese motifs. As well as this, the Ebony fingerboard features inlays which are inspired by ancient Kumiki woodworking methods.

With a Rounded V-shaped Mahogany neck, Bone nut & saddle, Ebony bridge & bridge pins and Gotoh SXN510 tuners, you have rock solid reliability combined with vintage inspiration. This ensures you can perform comfortably with a premium quality tonal response and excellent projection.
