The Novo Serus JHH is a Custom Series offset that blends classic lines with Novo's unmistakable hand-built character and a bold, modern voice. Finished in Lake Como Blue over '64 3-Tone Burst with a medium distress level and a Bull Black peghead, it has a striking, vintage-meets-boutique aesthetic that feels both familiar and completely unique. The 4-ply tortoiseshell pickguard and white accents give it a clean, stylish look that suits the guitar's refined personality.
The body is crafted from tempered pine, giving the Serus JHH a lively, resonant response with fast attack and a warm, musical midrange. Paired with a tempered maple 4/4 neck and an East Indian rosewood fingerboard, the guitar has a balanced, expressive feel that works beautifully across clean, crunch and driven tones. The Medium C (.830") neck shape offers a comfortable, vintage-leaning profile, while the 9.5"-14" compound radius keeps bends smooth and chords effortless across the entire fingerboard.
A pair of Lollar Lollartrons give the guitar its distinctive voice. These pickups deliver the chime, clarity and snap of classic Filtertron-style designs, but with the warmth, punch and harmonic richness that Lollar are known for. They excel at articulate cleans, jangly rhythm work and bright, focused drive tones that cut through a mix without ever sounding harsh. Combined with the Serus platform's natural resonance, the result is a lively, dynamic instrument with a wide tonal range.
The hardware is premium throughout. The Mastery M1 bridge and NV vibrato with Lightning Bolt arm provide exceptional stability, smooth feel and precise intonation, making the guitar feel expressive and rock solid under the hand. White Witch Hat knobs for volume and tone, along with a white toggle switch tip, complete the look with classic offset flair. Jescar 47095 medium nickel-silver frets ensure durability and smooth playability, while Stringjoy 10-48 strings give the guitar a balanced, responsive feel right out of the case.
