The M-7 is designed with an octave G string to create Marr's signature "jangle" sound, setting it apart from traditional six-string guitars. This model combines Martin's legendary craftsmanship with Marr's innovative artistry, resulting in an instrument that brings new sonic possibilities to players.
Constructed with high-quality tonewoods, the M-7 features solid East Indian rosewood back and sides paired with a solid spruce top. This combination provides rich overtones and deep bass, giving the guitar a resonant, full-bodied sound. The Grand Auditorium body size offers excellent projection and comfort, blending the depth of a 000 body with the wider dimensions of a Jumbo, making it a versatile option for both strumming and fingerpicking. Scalloped X-bracing inside the body enhances resonance and stability, ensuring each note rings with clarity.
The M-7's standard taper mahogany neck and full-thickness profile give it a distinct feel, enhancing playability for complex chords and smooth transitions. An ebony fingerboard with a 25.4" scale length and 1 11/16" nut width offers an ideal balance between comfort and precision, while the Style 28 inlays add an elegant touch.
Equipped with LR Baggs Anthem electronics, the M-7 delivers a balanced and natural amplified tone, ideal for live performances or recording.
