The Lollar Tele Royal T Neck is designed for Tele players who love the feel of their guitar but want the deeper, clearer and punchier neck tone of a great Strat. Traditional Tele neck pickups use a metal cover that adds grit and softens the top end, so Lollar created a custom open-top cover for the Royal T to remove that limitation and emulate true Strat-style clarity.
To achieve this, the Royal T uses a specific magnet selection and length, a unique wind pattern and 42-gauge heavy build coil wire typically found in Strat pickups. The result is a Strat-coloured neck voice that blends the best qualities of Lollar's Blonde and Sixty-Four tones, delivering glassy highs, strong punch and excellent dynamic response. It pairs beautifully with Vintage T or Special T bridge pickups for spectacular middle-position tones.
Made with Alnico 5 magnets and vintage-style cloth covered lead wire, the Royal T Neck offers a premium, expressive upgrade for players who want a Tele that can deliver an authentic Strat-style neck sound without changing guitars.
