Jackson Pro Series Signature Wes Borland King V KV - Ebony - Black w/White Bevels

One of the most iconic guitarists to come out of the 90s has to be Limp Bizkit’s Wes Borland! With unmatched stage presence, huge guitar tones, and a totally unique approach to writing riffs, Wes helped define the sound of nu-metal and inspired a whole generation of players along the way. Wes has teamed up with Jackson guitars to release his very own signature King V, which is a body shape he has used consistently throughout his whole career!

This King V features a body crafted from nyatoh, which is a lightweight and resonant tone wood. Nyatoh is closely related to mahogany, so it shares a lot of the same characteristics and properties. It’s a big reason as to why this guitar has such a powerful, thick, and resonant tone. The body features an all-black finish with white bevels and accents, which looks super slick and eye-catching. The 1-piece maple neck features a neck-through construction, which further increases the guitars resonance and sustain. It also has graphite reinforcement rods running through the neck, which add stability and help to mitigate the effect of humidity or temperature changes. The ebony fingerboard is dark in colour and matches the black aesthetic. It features a 25.5” scale length, 24 jumbo frets, a 12”-16” compound radius, Luminlay side dots, a 42.86mm nut width, and pearloid sharkfin inlays.

Throughout his career, Wes has always enjoyed tinkering with and modifying his guitars. He’s well known for swapping pickups in and out of his instruments and was often seen playing guitars fitted with just a single bridge pickup. That stripped-back approach has made its way onto his signature model. This King V is loaded with a single Seymour Duncan Invader humbucker, a high-output pickup loaded with ceramic magnets that delivers plenty of power, punch, and Wes’ trademark low-end heaviness. But despite its aggressive reputation, the Invader also works really well for cleaner sounds and mid-gain tones. This King V also features a high quality Floyd Rose 1500 Series bridge, Jackson sealed die cast tuners, and a single volume control.
