The GSR186 is Ibanez's first 6-string model in the SR Gio Series, offering extended range and sleek design at an entry-level price. Finished in Pearl White with chrome hardware, it delivers a clean, modern aesthetic with solid performance features.
The okoume body is lightweight and resonant, paired with a bolt-on maple neck and purpleheart fingerboard. The 54mm nut width and 400mm radius provide a comfortable feel across all six strings, while 22 medium frets offer smooth playability.
Dual Dynamix H passive humbuckers deliver rich, full-range tone with solid low-end and clear highs. Controls include two volume knobs and a master tone, giving straightforward access to a wide tonal palette. The B16 bridge with 16.5mm string spacing ensures stable tuning and precise intonation.
Factory tuning is B to C (1C, 2G, 3D, 4A, 5E, 6B), with .032-.125 gauge strings for balanced tension. A great choice for players stepping into extended-range bass or seeking a versatile backup with extra depth.
