Taylor Academy 10e
Here we have a new addition to the Taylor family, an interesting combination of specs and appointments that makes this range stand out from anything Taylor have done before, aimed at the entry level player, but offering a quality and price point that should make it well beyond the standard of other entry level offerings from other brands, as you'd expect from Taylor the quality is exceptional.

This particular model is a traditional Dreadnought shape, although it's shape is altered slightly with the incredible addition of the arm rest normally only found on Deluxe high end models, or the 9 and presentation series guitars right at the other end of the price scale. The arm rest is a lovely ergonomic addition to a guitar, your forarm doesn't press into the actual top of the guitar that you want to reverberate, as well as just being super comfortable to hold and play.
Like the 1 series guitars, this guitar is made from layered Sapele back and sides and a solid Sitka spruce top, but this range comes with a slightly shorter scale length of 24 and 7/8", as well a 1-11/16 inch nut width, and unlike other taylors is setup to have light gauge strings by default.
This guitar will be ideal for strummers and flatpickers, and obviously with it's ES-B electonics (which includeds a LED tuner too), it's a guitar that's ready to plug in and perform with, so whether a new starter looking for a guitar of high quality to start with, or an established player looking for a relatively affordable performance guitar, anyone should be happy with these awesome things.
