The G6134TG-58 Limited Edition 1958 Custom Penguin offers a striking new take on one of Gretsch's most iconic designs. Finished in the dark, atmospheric Emerald Night metallic finish, this rare model blends period-accurate 1958 features with refined modern enhancements. A vintage-chambered mahogany body paired with an arched maple top delivers the unmistakable Gretsch blend of resonance, punch and airy acoustic response, while the TV Jones Ray Butts Ful-Fidelity Filter-Tron pickups provide the twang, growl and harmonic richness that define the Penguin's legendary voice.
The standard U-shaped mahogany neck features a smooth 12-inch-radius ebony fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets and Mother of Pearl Neo-Classic thumbnail inlays. Luminlay side dots offer improved visibility on dark stages, and the nitrocellulose lacquer finish allows the guitar to vibrate and age naturally. A bone nut, Grover Imperial tuners and a Space Control bridge with a pinned ebony base ensure tuning stability and precise intonation.
The Bigsby B3GP String-Thru vibrato tailpiece adds classic Gretsch shimmer with enhanced stringing ease and improved feel. Gold hardware completes the luxurious aesthetic, while the included deluxe hardshell case provides premium protection for this limited edition instrument.
