Marcus King is one of the hottest new guitarists out there, best known as the frontman, lead singer and guitarist of "The Marcus King Band". Originally from South Carolina, Marcus King developed his haunting vocals and soulful guitar style under the strong influence of his father, renowned blues guitarist Marvin King, and his grandfather, a seasoned country musician. With music running deep in his bloodline, Marcus has carried that legacy onto global stages. Now, still in his twenties, hes collaborating with Gibson for a second signature mode, this one inspired by a cherished family guitar passed down through three generations, from grandfather to father, and ultimately to Marcus himself.

Originally released as a Custom Shop model, the new Marcus King ES-345 is inspired by his main guitar, a 1962 ES-345 that was handed down to him by his family. This modern version captures the look and vibe of his original, but with modern reliability and playability. The Marcus King ES-345 features a 3-Ply Maple/Poplar/Maple traditional construction. Finished in a stunning Sixties Cherry nitrocellulose lacquer this guitar can breathe and resonate much more effectively when compared to other finish types. it is super lightweight and feels great against the body.

In classic Gibson fashion the Marcus King ES-345 features a strong and stable Mahogany neck with a dark Indian Rosewood fretboard. It is adorned with split parallelogram inlays, 22 frets, a 12" radius, 1.695" nut width and of course a 24.75" scale length, it is supremely comfortable and thanks to the Rounded profile, it feels exactly like King's original.

A pair of Gibson Custombucker pickups deliver those classic ES series tones, incredibly rich and full sounding and thanks to their brilliant versatility, you can craft just about any tone you can imagine.

One of the most unique features of this guitar is the fixed vibrola bridge, which gives this guitar a unique aesthetic and vintage vibe. Marcus original guitar features a rare factory fitted sideways vibrola usually found on Gibson SGs. With this fixed vibrola, you get all the looks, without the hastle and potential of damage to the finish.

The Marcus King ES-345 includes a hardshell case to keep the guitar safe at home, on the road, or in the studio. This is one exciting model to check out.
