The Fender Player II Mustang Bass PJ delivers classic short scale punch with modern versatility, combining the warmth of a split coil P Bass pickup with the growl and definition of a J Bass bridge pickup. While it carries timeless Fender style, every detail is refined for smooth, fast and expressive performance.
A Modern C maple neck with a satin urethane back finish provides an effortless playing feel, paired with a 9.5 inch radius maple fingerboard featuring rolled edges and 20 medium jumbo frets for clean fretting and easy bends. The compact alder body is finished in Cactus Grey, one of the archive inspired colours exclusive to the Player II series.
Player Series Alnico V split coil Precision Bass and single coil Jazz Bass pickups offer sweet highs, growling mids and seismic lows, with a 3 way toggle switch giving instant access to P, J or blended tones. An adjustable 4 saddle bridge with single groove steel barrel saddles ensures precise intonation and rock solid tuning stability, supported by open gear tuners with a modern gear ratio for smooth, accurate adjustments.
