John Osborne is one of the biggest names in modern Country Music. With multiple top 10 hits, seven Academy of Country Music awards, and six Country Music Association awards, John and his playing have had a serious impact in a short time! The all-new John Osborne Telecaster is closely modelled after one of his personal instruments, and has a seriously high spec.
This signature Telecaster features an Alder body finished with a Road Worn Olympic White nitrocellulose lacquer. The ageing has been done in a really tasteful way and looks really well done. Youll find the odd few dings and marks across the body, and more prominent wear to simulate decades of arm wear. One of the secret weapons within this guitar is the Fender designed B-Bender system, which enables you to raise the B-strings pitch up a whole step, which creates pedal steel like chords. The creative potential unlocked through this system is incredible, and seeing a B-Bender system at this price point is awesome and not something you come across every day.
The neck on this guitar is crafted from Maple and features a comfortable 1968 C profile, which is modelled on one of Johns personal guitars. The back of the neck features a hand-rubbed oil finish, which feels super smooth in your hands. The Maple fingerboard features a 25.5 scale length, 7.25 radius, 21 jumbo frets, 42mm nut width, and black dot inlays.
This Telecaster is loaded with a pair of custom voiced pickups designed in partnership with John Osborne. Theyre designed to give clarity, punch, and to deliver the iconic tone John Osborne is known for. Youve also got high quality hardware, like Fender vintage F stamped tuners, and a Fender 3-saddle modified vintage style string through Tele bridge with compensated brass barrel saddles.
This guitar ships in a vintage style hardshell case.
