Celebrating The Diamond Anniversary Of The First Commercial Electric Bass

Along with the the first commercial solidbody guitar, Fender also introduced the first commercial solidbody electric bass in 1951 - the Precision Bass. Despite not being quick to on the uptake for double-bass players, the P-Bass offered a much more friendlier gateway for guitarists to pick up and, influenced by the success of Rock and Motown, went on to become what is described as "the one technological breakthrough that changed music forever".
The PJ-Bass was later developed as a combination of the Precision and Jazz bass for the ultimate versatility. This American Professional PJ features a gorgeous flame maple top under a 2-colour sunburst. Paired with a white pickguard and gold hardware, it's a stand-out instrument for sure!
