The LTD TED-EC is a serious signature model for seriously metal players. A collaboration between ESP LTD and heavy riff legend Ted Aguilar of thrash band Death Angel, this single-cut model stands-out from the crowd thanks to the juxtaposition between its deep Black finish and bright white EMG pickups.
Based on a single-cut Eclipse model, the TED-EC offers useful specs such a neck-thru body design, 24.75" scale length, Mahogany body with Maple top and a Thin U shape 3-piece Mahogany neck. This offers supreme playability and optimum structural stability. A recessed Gotoh TOM bridge with string-thru and LTD locking tuners helps provide comfort when playing and retains tuning stability at all times.
The EMG 81 pickup in the bridge combined with EMG 60 in the neck is Ted's favourite ever EMG combination and for good reason. The 81 provides tight, articulation and a beefy low-end perfect for chugging, while the 60 is on hand for a sweet, balanced tone, ideal for cleans.
A Macassar Ebony fingerboard, 42mm nut width and 24 extra-jumbo frets bring a superior playability, lending itself to fast playing, silky smooth string bends and vibrato.
Finished off with black hardware to keep things tasteful, this is yet another stellar addition to the Signature LTD line-up!
