Introducing the Epiphone Joe Bonamassa 1959 Les Paul Custom, a remarkable collaboration between the legendary blues-rock virtuoso, Joe Bonamassa and Epiphone. Inspired by one of Joes rarest and most interesting Gibsons, this Epiphone brings the magic of Gibsons golden era to the masses.
Joe Bonamassas original 1959 Les Paul Custom really is something special. This guitar was custom ordered back in the late 1950s to have just 2 humbuckers, rather than the standard 3 pickup configuration, making it one of the rarest guitars in Joes collection.
This Epiphone features a traditional and period correct all Mahogany body finished in Antique Ebony. This dark finish looks super slick and is accented by aged multi-ply binding on the top and back. Black Les Paul really do look awesome, and this Epiphone model is no different, they have done a wicked job at recreating that classic late 1960s look and style.
The Mahogany neck sports a 1959 Rounded Medium C neck profile, which feels great in your hand. This neck profile was selected after a long process as it was incredibly close to the profile found on Joes original Les Paul. The Ebony fingerboard is bound, and features 22 medium jumbo frets, pearloid block inlays, a 24.75 scale length, and a 43mm nut width. The headstock, styled after the 1960s Kalamazoo design, includes multi-ply binding, the Epiphone logo, and a mother-of-pearl Custom Split Diamond inlay.
At the heart of this guitar is a pair of Epiphone ProBucker Custom pickups, which do a great job at replicating that iconic PAF tone without drastically increasing the price of the guitar. They are really clear and dynamic. Rolling back individual volume and tone controls drastically alters your tone, allowing you to cover so much ground tonally. With Grover tuners, a Lock Tone Tune-O-Matic bridge, and of course a Bigsby B70 vibrato, you get great stability and control over the guitars intonation and performance.
Each limited edition Epiphone Joe Bonamassa 59 Les Paul Custom includes a certificate of authenticity and a hardshell case adorned with exclusive Nerdville graphics. Its a fitting tribute to a legendary musician and a timeless guitar, offering exceptional craftsmanship and lasting value.
