The Futura series ES-355 is a modern interpretation of one of Gibson’s most iconic and influential body shapes. It features a traditional ES-355 body shape crafted from 5-ply Layered Maple / Poplar. This tone wood pairing is known for delivering great power and resonance, which is certainly found on this guitar. The most eye-catching feature of the Futura series is the colour shift finishes, which drastically change colour depending on the lighting and angle you look at the guitar. Having a finish like this on a guitar at this price point isn’t something you see every day! This guitar looks super stylish and really does standout!
The glued-in set Mahogany neck features a Modern C neck profile, which is really comfortable and feels great in your hands, it’s the perfect neck shape for a modern guitar like this! The bound Ebony fingerboard features a 10”-14” compound radius, 22 stainless steel frets, 24.75” scale length, and super 400-style pearloid split block inlays.
At the heart of this guitar is a pair of Epiphone’s new ProBucker Ignite pickups, which are designed to deliver powerful tones with great clarity and definition. With the onboard controls, you have access to both coil splitting and phase options, giving you loads of fun tones to play with. It also features a LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge, and a set of Grover Rotomatic locking tuners.
