The Flying V returns as part of the Epiphone Inspired by Gibson collection, bringing one of Gibsons most iconic and legendary designs to a much more accessible price point. Although the Flying V originally launched 1958, it wasn't until much later that players began to truly appreciate this model. This Flying V 70s model pays tribute the first iteration of the Flying V which player truly bonded with at launch. It was wielded by players like Michael Schenker, Jimi Hendrix, K.K. Downing, Marc Bolan, Steve Jones, and many more.
This Flying V 70s features a two-piece center seamed Mahogany body, which is super lightweight, resonant and punchy. The Flying V body shape is such an iconic design, and the Epiphone team have done a great job at recreating it at this price point.
The Mahogany neck has a comfortable Rounded C neck shape, which is one of Epiphone's most popular and loved neck profiles. It feels great in your hands and allows you to play quickly. The Ebony fingerboard is dark in colour and features a 43mm nut width, 24.75 scale length, 22 frets, and pearloid dot inlays.
A pair of Epiphone T-Type PRO humbuckers deliver powerful 70s inspired tones. They're super rich, thick, and powerful sounding no matter your tone choice. They are wired to individual volume controls and a master tone control; the controls are capped with Witch Hat control knobs. You also have a set of Grover Rotomatic tuners, and a LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge and Stop Bar.
