The dreadnought is the most popular acoustic guitar body shape of all time, while many brands put their own spin on this classic shape, not many do it as well as Collings.
The CW is named after the beloved Walnut Valley Festival in Winfield, Kansas. This modified version of Collings standard dreadnought features a few spec options which particularly favour those who love a bit of flatpickin'!
With a crisp Adirondack Spruce top on a lush East Indian Rosewood back and sides, the Collings CW delivers depth, warmth and tonal clarity and with Adirondack bracing you really hear the quality of that incredible top. The CW features an enlarged soundhole which is supported by a top bracing pattern which is based on vintage 14-fret dreadnought designs, which makes it the ideal bluegrass machine.
A Honduran Mahogany neck boasts an Ebony fingerboard with no inlays, a modified V profile, 25.5" scale length and a 14"-26" compound radius and Medium 18% nickel-silver frets. It is supremely comfortable underhand, it's an absolute joy to play, beautifully well balanced and incredibly high quality.
Pristinely finished in a high-gloss nitrocellulose and completing the look with the eye-catching Dalmation pickguard, this is a seriously impressive guitar.
