Here's another fine guitar from the good folks over at Vigier in France. This is superb instrument in both build quality and quality control, and the top and Ruby colour are stunning. Perhaps normally you might think of the jazz or shredder type guitarists with an Excalibur, this variant shows the core of the guitar is solidly designed and built, and works in different configurations to appeal to a different type of players really rather well.
The 2 piece body is naturally aged alder, and the neck is naturally dried maple with a rosewood fingerboard. The 24 fret neck like all Excalibur's have the 10/90 neck system with 10% of the neck being the carbon giving the back of the neck it's distinct look and loads of stability, it's there to ensure there's no need for a truss rod on the guitar. The neck is a standard D shape, so it's a little fuller, and comfortable for either rhythm playing or shredding equally with everything in between. The neck also sports Vigiers fancy Teflon nut and zero fret setup too.
This guitar is HSS configuration with two DiMarzio Virtual Vintage DP415 single coils and a Virtual PAF in the bridge, all controlled with a standard 5 way selector and volume and tone controls.
Ships with a hard case as standard, as well as a 2 year warranty from Vigier.
