This tremendous PRS Custom 24 was handpicked at a recent PRS event, this guitar was made just for this event and isn't part of the standard line-up.
It's from a special run of "wood library" models, where the maple on the top of the guitar comes from a special stash of wood that PRS keep back for special run models, such as these. The grading and figuring on this top is as high as you can go on a core PRS guitar, any higher and you would be in Private Stock territory, where the price would be over double!
Not only does the top have some amazing figuring, you'll notice that the back has highly figured swamp ash and the neck has super curly flame maple with an ebony fingerboard.
Pickups come courtesy of the amazing 85/15 units, which were released in 2015 as part of PRS's 30th anniversary. When i asked Paul for some background on these pickups, he told me that if back in 1985 he knew what he knows now, these would've been the pickup that he would've made then!
Just when you thought they could'n't make them any better, they've set the bar even higher with these models!
