The Fender Jazz Bass is one of the most popular bass guitars ever put into production, with its timeless design and incredible versatility; it has been a staple in the roster for over 60 years. The Fender Custom Shop 68 Jazz Bass takes us back to a golden era of bass construction.
The Alder body is typically comfortable thanks to the lush sweeping curves, and with a Vintage White finish it looks real slick. Authentically aged, this finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further. The thin nitro finish also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively.
The Quartersawn Maple neck features a 60 J-Bass "U" profile and a sweet Quartersawn Maple fingerboard, designed for precision and comfort; it's equally at home playing big low end root notes or technical work further up the neck. The torty pickgaurd and black neck binding really make this a cool and unique model!
Loaded with hand wound Fender Vintage J Bass rhythm and lead pickup, you get period correct Fender tone, there's no mistaking that signature Fender bass thump.
With a Custom Shop hardcase, this Jazz Bass is road ready and a great piece for both players and collectors.
