The amazing new Guild Orpheum series are coming into stock very soon. The whole idea behind these guitars were to imagine that Guild had a blank canvas back in the late 1920's and 1930's and their master luthiers were set the task of designing a complete new guitar line........
These instruments are totally incredible and they really do offer incredible value for money, when you compare them to Collings Guitars and higher end Martins. These have great specs including Hot hide glue and Adirondack spruce tops. Half a dozen pieces will be in very shortly, including this amazing OM model.
The new Taylor 1 series 12 string is just amazing - The Taylor 150E model, the spec is ridiculously good, as it has the full expression system which works amazing on a 12 string guitar, as with traditional piezo systems, it can be really hard to balance out the volume differences between the different 12 strings, when amplified. The expression system amplifies this guitar perfectly. This guitar is set to become the best value for money 12 string on the market as it only sells for £587!
Continuing along our acoustic guitar theme, it would be silly not to mention some amazing new Martin guitars that were shown at the Messe. The 000-18 has been given a once over, like the D18 was in 2012, Martin have replaced the black binding and pale looking lacquer top, with a gorgeous faux tortoiseshell binding and a beautifully tinted sitka spruce top.The 24.9” short scale model’s neck features a modified low oval profile with Performing Artist taper, with a width of 1-3/4” at the nut and 2-3/16” string spacing for easy playability. Nickel open-geared tuners with butterbean knobs are found with a rosewood headplate, which displays a large old style Martin logo.
Also Martin have released the OM28 as a non electro version of the amazing OM28 Retro model, so aging toner and a polished gloss finish are applied to the Sitka spruce top which features ¼” “X” scalloped bracing. The polished gloss East Indian rosewood body is edged with ivoroid binding. Like the 000-18, the model’s neck features a modified low oval profile with performing artist taper with a width of 1-3/4” at the nut and 2-3/16” string spacing for easy playability. The 25.4” long scale produces powerful notes which are great for a variety of playing styles. Nickel open-geared tuners with butterbean knobs are found with a rosewood headplate, which displays a large old style Martin logo. Sexy stuff!
2 New electro's have debuted at a great sub £2000 price point -
DC-Aura GT and GPC-Aura GT: The new Dreadnought and Grand Performance are special models consisting of East Indian rosewood bodies with a satin finish and a polished gloss Sitka spruce top featuring a two ring pearl rosette. Added features for both models include certified African blackwood bridges and fingerboards with hexagon pearl inlays.
