Dale Wilson is known across the globe as one of Fenders highly revered Masterbuilders, a select group of the worlds most esteemed luthiers. With this high status, any guitar with his name attached generates a huge amount of interest, and rightly so!
The Fender Custom Shop Dale Wilson Masterbuilt '62 Telecaster Custom is a great example of the legendary prowess of the Masterbuilders.
With an Alder body, finished in a lush Journeyman Lake Placid Blue, this guitar has a truly authentic look. The Journeyman finish is a very lightly aged nitro lacquer finish; this gives the look and feel of a vintage guitar that has been lovingly cared for over the years. This finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further. It also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively when compared with other finishes. With double bound edges, it has a real timeless, classic appeal.
The Maple neck is topped with a AAA-Grade Rosewood fingerboard, among the sweetest we've ever seen. The large C neck has a compound 9.50' - 12' radius and benefits from Jescar 6100 jumbo frets. It's super resonant and sustains forever!
A set of Twisted Tele pickups deliver all the classic Telecaster tones you need, these high output pups are heavily overwound to bring out the Tele tones without compromising on gain. To further increase your tonal options, the Masterbuilt Dale Wilson '62 Telecaster Custom features series/parallel wiring activated via a push/pull pot, this isn't just a collector's piece, it's a monster tone machine!
Supreme quality from top to bottom and shipped in a Fender Custom Shop hardcase, it's easy to see why Dale Wilson is so highly regarded.
Guitars of this calibre don't come around everyday, so best to move quickly on this one. Unfortunately we cannot accept part exchange on this guitar.
