Gibson Custom Historic Select 1958 Les Paul Aged Slow Iced Tea Fade

Gibson Custom
Product Overview

This stunner has arrived into stock!. It's "Historic Select" True Historic Gibson Custom Shop 58 Les Paul. It's part of the "made to measure" program where you can take an existing model and tweak it slightly to your taste. In this instance - we have the iconic 58 model LP, just with a Custom 'burst and a figured maple top, which is unusual for a '58, which generally has little to no figure.

The "Antiquity Burst" finish is borrowed from the famous "Pearly Gates" Les Paul and it's just stunning. This guitar also has the aged finish option and on this one it's been very tastefully done, so it only has some light lacquer checking and a few small dinks and play wear here and there.

With the True Historric range, Gibson Custom commits to a fanatic level of detail accuracy to bring you as close as possible to owning an original 1960 Gibson Les Paul. A double-carved and hand-sanded top and neck, hand wet-sanded finish, hand-filed rolled fingerboard binding, and plastics replicated from molecular-level analysis of original vintage parts headline only a few of the extensive and obsessive details found in each of the very limited number of True Historic 1958 Les Pauls offered. Add a pair of superbly accurate Custom Bucker pickups, re-created from precise study and measurement of original PAFs, and that legendary Burst tone is all there. You simply can't get closer to the real thing... than the real thing.

The most desirable Les Paul ever captured with unprecedented accuracy for the 2015/16 True Historic Series, with wet-sanded nitro finish, double-carved and hand-sanded top and neck, rolled binding and more.
