Dale Wilson is known across the globe as one of Fenders highly revered Masterbuilders, a select group of the worlds most esteemed luthiers. With this Godly status, any guitar with his name attached generates a huge amount of interest, and rightly so.
The Fender Custom Shop Dale Wilson Masterbuilt '61 Stratocaster is a great example of the legendary prowess of the Masterbuilders.
The Alder body is finished in a really authentically aged Olympic white. This finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further, it also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively. If this guitar smelt like an old caravan, then you really wouldn't be able to tell the difference between this and a vintage original.
The Quartersawn Maple neck is real comfortable. With a '65 Strat C profile, 7.25"-9.5" compound radius and 6105 frets it's super resonant and feels incredible underhand. The AAA grade Rosewood fingerboard is a treat to play, perfectly balanced and with flawless playability right up the neck, it's a real player's piece.
Loaded with handwound '59 strat pickups, these pickups offer the classic fender sound and a sweet singlecoil tone, losing some of the harsh top end often associated with this era.
Supreme quality from top to bottom and shipped in a Fender Custom Shop hardcase, it's easy to see the Fender Masterbuilders are so highly regarded. Guitars of this calibre just don't come around every day, we love it and we're pretty sure you will too!
Unfortunately we are unable to accept part exchange offers on this guitar.
