Fender Custom Shop Limited edition Tele with perfect blend of old and the new.
From the first look it appears to be a nice early 50's Tele but as soon as you play it you can feel that it just is so much easier to play than an original 50's specced Tele as it has a compound radius, which starts at 9.5' and moves down to a fairly flat 12", which gives you a superb modern playing action without any choking. The playing experience is further enhanced by the 6105 medium jumbo frets, of which they're 22, unlike the usual 21 that they're fitted with.
This guitar has the popular "journeyman" finish, which is a very lightly aged nitro finish, which gives it the look and feel of an old vintage guitar that's been lovingly cared for over the years.
A brief highlight of the rest of the specs include:
- Lightweight Ash Body
- Faded wide 2 tone sunburst finish
- 3 saddle bridge with Gatton compensated saddles
- Headstock truss rod adjustment (no more neck off for adjustments, yay!)
- Josefina Hand wound Nocaster neck pickup with handwound Broadcaster bridge pickup
- Quarter sawn maple neck
