The Fender Custom Shop do some pretty special things, and with the Custom Shop '54 Telecaster they hark right back to the early days of Leo Fenders vision.
The Ash body is finished in a stunning Faded Aged Nocaster Blonde nitro lacquer, it's a real beauty! Authentically aged, this finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further. The thin nitro finish also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively.
The Rift Sawn Maple neck has a smooth, authentic, vintage feel. With a 7.25"-9.5" compound radius, 21 medium vintage frets, a 1.625" Nut Width, 25.5"scale length, and 1954 "U" neck shape which measures .940" at the 1st fret and .970 at the 12th fret, it's a real joy to play.
With the Telecaster design being considered by many to be the original workhorse guitar, the Custom Shop '54 Telecaster needs a pickup pairing that can deliver the classic Tele' twang. With a duo of Handwound Loaded 51 Nocaster pickups, you can cover every tone you can think of. They are beautifully dynamic and handle both clean and gain incredibly well.
